Hello! My name is Brad. I originally grew up in Wisconsin and moved to Minnesota in 2011. And yes, for those of you who love sports, I am a Green Bay Packers fan. I am currently pursuing an Bachelor of Arts undergraduate in Sociology: Law, Crime, and Deviance and in Political Science: Law & Politics and Public Affairs. As of now, my plan is to graduate in Spring 2016. I am also pursuing a minor in Family Violence Prevention. In addition to being a full-time student, I also work part-time as a certified pharmacy technician for a major hospital in Minneapolis, MN.
I chose to take this class because I have always been very interested in movies specifically those within the Horror genre. Out of all of the films within this genre, it is safe to say that my favorite films are those of the Nightmare on Elm Street Franchise starring none other than Freddy Kreuger himself. I always loved the trashy humor and the brilliant story line of Freddy Kreuger invading your dreams. Additionally I have a deep love for Zombie movies including but not limited to Resident Evil, and 28 Days Later. I took this class as it seemed extremely interesting to me as I have never taken a film studies class before and am very curious as to what that entails. I hope to be able to learn a lot about the significance of film in society and the role that it plays.
